We are a very happy Anglo-French family, Claire 36, Jean-Christophe 38, Jean-Luc 5, twins Amelie & Sydney nearly 3 & the ever faithful Labrador Genie 10. We moved to France 3 years ago to experience a more peaceful, spacious and naturally enriching way of life. There have been many ups & downs, but we are finally settling into our family home that we have been renovating for some time. My husband works regularly in the UK & my children are at school & crèche locally. We have renovated many properties & built a new home in the UK before leaving for France. My husband is a skilled builder & project manager. I was previously a textile designer before children & a British Wheel qualified Yoga teacher post children.
Our house is nearly finished but we have a big project on our hands in the garden. It is all to do, I am excited about planning out the space, preparing the soil, constructing our huge eBay greenhouse we are dismantling at the moment in England, ready to bring over & erect in the garden. We want to plant trees, shrubs, edible borders, veggies, herbs, flowers for cutting & wild flowers for preserving and we would appreciate any help we can get.
We live in a beautiful plus beaux village in rural France, with a ruined castle & river running through it. A wonderful place to visit & work outside with your hands.
