A vegan/vegetarian village in the north of Israel, Amirim is the perfect place for nature lovers looking for a unique experience in their travels. Our plant nursery is nestled in forests and within a 15 minute drive from Tzfat and also close to Tiberias…it can easily serve as a great “home base” for exploring the beautiful north, with lots of hot springs, hikes, and plenty to explore . The work here is extremely varied, with everyday offering something new and sometimes unexpected (but that’s the beauty of life!)…it includes creating/maintaining gardens in surrounding areas, picking fruit, planting and transplanting, weeding, and pruning trees. The work varies from season to season, but volunteers are typically expected to work 6-7 hours a day 5 days a week. Obviously, a willingness to work outdoors and get your hands dirty is more than welcome, if not necessary!

Plenty of fresh VEGETARIAN food and accommodation are provided, but for those who are looking for a place for drinking and smoking, this is not the place for you. In fact, we often wake up very early here. Volunteering here is a chance to learn about plants from someone with lots of experience, to break a sweat or two, and to explore the north of Israel (the work is really everywhere!)…If this sounds like the right fit for you, don’t hesitate to contact us! :)
