LOOKING for helpers for Late APRIL, MAY, & JUNE...Lots of plant tending to be done...

We live on a small permaculture farm on the edge of town in Rossland, BC. The farm includes a big garden and animals (goats, sheep, chickens, ducks, & two cats) and a wide range of farm development projects. We’re going into our fourth season on a new property and have spent the last three years doing earthworks, building farm infrastructure, and planting trees & shrubs. The work continues this spring…

Besides daily chores, upcoming projects include, seeding & seedling care, fixing & cleaning farm gear, planting (trees, shrubs, veg, flowers, & herbs) & mulching, compost & soil building, fencing, greenhouse construction, and more... We also have three young kids who are always up for adventure including exploring the farm, bike rides, building things, or jumping on the trampoline.

We love to welcome volunteers who are responsible, hardworking, friendly, and share our love for the outdoors. It works best for us when folks stay a minimum of 5 days. Our usual trade is 4 hours of hard work each day for a place to stay and three quality meals. We find this arrangement leaves lots of time to explore the area or pursue other projects.

We eat healthy food made from scratch, mostly organic ingredients, and fresh from the farm when we have it.

Our farm is a 10-15 minute walk up to town. In the summer, Rossland is a premium destination for mountain biking & hiking. We’re on the side of a mountain, so everything around here involves walking uphill or down!

We’d love to hear from you. Get in touch, tell us a little bit about yourself, and your upcoming plans.
