We are not currently able to accept Help Exchange volunteers, but will be at some point in the future. If you have specific skills in the areas described below, please do let us know about them, if you wish to considered for a future visit.

There are two aspects to our property which you could help us with; you'd likely do some work with both. The house and 2 apartments in the compound serve as guest accommodations, particularly during the summer months. Hence there is laundry, cleaning and maintenance to be done, as well as helping our guests if we are not around, etc.. The house and apartments are surrounded by a garden that includes blond and dark figs, grapes, olives, peaches, lemons, capers and other flowering and fruiting plants. The garden is maintained using water gathered in the house’s cistern, and with household compost added to the soil. We are interested in increasing soil health and productivity and the range of fruits and vegetables grown here, making better use of the fruits and vegetables (for example, curing the olives, which has never been done) as well as keeping bees on site.

You might have a private room in a shared house, or a private studio apartment might be provided for you on-site. The latter is about 19 square
meters / 207 square feet in size, and has a full kitchen, living/sleeping space, and bathroom with shower.

The house and gardens are a 10 to 15 minutes walk to Mykonos town. They are about 200 meters from a small food store and bus stop, and a 7 minutes
walk from a beach. The house sits at about 50 meters / 150 feet above sea level, so one gets some exercise walking to and from town; the bus can be used to return to the house if one is carrying a lot of items or the weather is bad.

?ypes of volunteers' tasks:

* Fruit & vegetable’s cultivation: developing and maintaining the garden- planting, watering, pruning, composting, etc..
* Household tasks: Depending on the arrangement worked out, it could include helping with the cleaning, laundry, attending to guests' needs, etc..

Number of working hours per day: 4-5
Number of working days per week: 5 or 6

Languages Spoken: English, some Greek/Ellinika, some Spanish/Espanol, some American Sign Language.

A mastery of English would be helpful, as well as good computer communication skills (e-mail, Skype, sending photos, etc.) as we are not at the
property at all times.

Prior experience improving a garden and/or working in a bed and breakfast or similar operation would be helpful, and prior references will make it more likely that we'd choose to have you come for a stay.
