We are a young family living self built and low impact on our woodland/ pasture holding in the Brendon hills, Exmoor.
Craig is a forester and Lis is a medical herbalist and we have 2 children.
We are omnivorous and try to be healthy. we often eat vegetarian.
We like to meet new and interesting folk.
We welcome volunteers who are prepared to get stuck in.
if you have a specific skill, do let us know.

We have woods, pasture and garden.
Accommodation is a warm, dry off-grid caravan.
We will provide a mixture of shared cooked meals and some basic foods for you to prepare yourself on your non working days.
Requirements, 3-4 days per week (around 25 hours) including 1 day of the weekend.

Day to day jobs around the land include gardening, particularly increasing the vegetable& herb garden, animal husbandry, land and forest management, firewood, fencing.
As we both do self employed work, your stay here and the work you do will fit in around this, (Lis works from home).
You will be able to help with the collection of herbs and the production of herbal medicines as required.
Although it may be occasionally helpful, we do not require someone to look after our children or keep house.

From time to time we embark on a larger project involving green & affordable building techniques using timber from our woods. The next one will be a workshop for Lis.

Transport links.
The local town and bus stop is 2 miles away. Buses run Monday to Saturday from Taunton and Wellington. You can get lifts with us when we are driving in. Bikes are available to borrow. We can collect you from wiveliscombe .

Please bring;
wellies/ strong boots.
Sleeping bag.
Strong gloves
an enthusiastic, creative spirit!
