We are a fun female kiwi married couple living in paradise with 7 dogs and 2 miniature horses. We are looking for cool people to homestay/home Help. We have availability immediately :-D. We live just outside a town called Warkworth. Warkworth is 45 minutes drive north of Auckland CBD.

We are Jasmine who is 38 and Sharyn who is 42. We enjoy a wide range of activities including bushwalks, boating, art, cycling, playing board games, video games and much more. One of us smokes green daily for migraine/arthritis relief/fun and one of us is a cigerette smoker. We smoke inside sometimes ( not where your room is ). Sharyn is a dog groomer and Jasmine stays at home mostly with chronic illness but on good days does voluntary work. One of us is a real chatterbox and yep, you guessed it, Iím the one writing this profile! :-p Jasmine! We are young at heart, crazy in a good way and love cooking and many interests.

One of us is vegan, so on your 5 days on, the food provided is vegan. On your day off you are welcome to have brought your own food, vegetarian is okay but strictly no meat. So if you are a meat lover, I donít think our place is ideal :-).

Our 7 dogs are Chihuahua, Griffon/Minpin and Chipins. They are all friendly and so much fun, some just take a little bit to warm up to you. Being a dog lover is absolutely essential :-) If you are good at photography then that would be a bonus if you can take good pictures of the dogs as they all have a group Instagram account hehe :-D

Our home is a small social 3 bedroom home. It is a lifestyle property with a few paddocks sometimes with sheep and a beautiful wetlands area, reminds me a bit of Africa! There is so much bird life around and New Zealand birds sound so pretty. There are many beautiful nature walks and stunning beaches nearby. Iím happy to show you during your off time and maybe even if we do some dog walks as part of your hours as we are cool like that :-P . We are living in this smaller dwelling while we design our dream home. So if you have any architecture and or interior design background we like to hear all advice as this is going to be a big step! :-D

The sleeping situation is a private room with double bed. Keeping your room tidy is a must and not to be done during working hours. Please note: It could be switched to a mattress on the floor for a few days, as sometimes the room is needed for guests we have over.

On that note... The winter work situation is 3 hours work a day. Once your 3 hours are completed then you can do as you please the rest of the day. 5 days on, then a day off and so on. There would be an option to work additional hours in order to have additional day/s off by negotiation. If you stay longer term. The 2nd week allows a 2nd day off so then onwards is 4 days on, 2 days off. The 3rd week allows 3 days off thereafter :-). On your day off, you provide your own food. If you want food then you just need to do the dog feeding and dishes which is morning/night :-). You may be interested in even getting a local job part time or some situation like that as our hours arenít long.

During work hours there is to be no cellphone/internet usage but once you have finished, go wild! The exception bring if needed in regards to work you are carrying out.

You will be making sure that you carry the work out in the way we have requested, not your interpretation. If you are the type who does things your own way, we probably will not get along and your stay will be terminated early. If you are a hard worker, inquisitive and happy to learn then we will probably get along really well :-)

In exchange for food, cute lil lap warming creatures, accommodation and broadband internet would be a range of odd jobs such as: dog walking, dog grooming, cleaning dog deposits, dog area cleaning, sometimes dog minding when we go away, training sessions, looking after the horses, cleaning up horse deposits, house cleaning, car grooming, helping maintain social media sites, gardening, lawn mowing, home renovations inside and or out. Most of the work however is usually gardening/weeding outside and the care of the dogs. So must be willing to work outside for hours even when raining heavily ( have appropriate clothes ). It does rain a lot, so must be okay with that! Please when you request confirm that you understand this :)

Potential helpers would be aged between 18 and 40, be tidy and social. By social we mean that you arenít the type to hang out in your room much and prefer to hang out and or do various activities as follows... It would be a major bonus if you like playing loads of boardgames, videogames, smoking some green, going on adventures and so forth :-) You would be an honest/transparent communicator meaning that for example: you think you wish to leave earlier to start work elsewhere or just to have a change scenery. In which case, you would let us know even that you are thinking of this. So we can openly discuss a plan moving forward. We do get a lot of requests and itís disappointing when we turn people down only to find out a help x had been planning for quite a few days to leave prematurely. We would just appreciate the opportunity to vet other applicants as maybes until you reach a definitive decision :-)

We live in a beautiful town called Warkworth and are also very close to Matakana. It is 45 mins drive north of Aucklandís CBD. We are happy to come pick you up and drop you off if you can contribute to gas. Otherwise there is a very limited bus schedule that commutes to and from Auckland. To get to that bus, you walk along our road for 45 minutes to an hour. We feel that staying at our place is a mix of Help X and an experience rather than somewhere close to the city. If you are needing to be near Auckland City, I donít think we are your best choice. If you want a beautiful spot with not such city life, you will appreciate what this countryside has to offer :-)

There is off street safe parking.

We only consider requests if you speak good to fluent English and with a full filled out profile and clear photographs of who you are. Or a detailed email to us describing who you are, what experiences you have had and why you are interested to help at our place. If you are new to Help X that is okay but we just need to chat a bit by telephone first. :-D

We have hosted many Help X. Most people who have stayed have become friends and even very good friends. We are very strict and also very fair. There are some helpers who just go above and beyond and we are just filled with gratitude because we can be so kind and caring and show some really cool places but we like to feel that from the Help X side there is that genuine desire to work hard and then social hard too. On the flip side, we can both be shy and it is awkward if a helper is slacking or neglects several criteria we list here on this account. Therefor we have made it our bottom line that if this is the case, we will as mentioned earlier have to terminate the stay. Hopefully moving forward, this category will be non existent as you would have followed what we require. We have big hearts to make lots of friendships with awesome human beings :-)

Right, I think that covers a lot!!!!!

We look forward to hearing from you, any questions, just ask. Sharyn and Jasmine :) #shazzmine
