We are located among the white La Cloche Mountains (quartzite hills), near Whitefish Falls, in Northern Ontario, Canada.

In Summer 2018, from May to October, we are seeking help with cabin housekeeping, painting cottage windows and doors, stacking camp firewood, repairs, carpentry work, and general help around the lodge, cottages and 66 acres of woodland, plus river and lakes.

Couples are best suited, but suitable individuals may also apply. Carpentry skills are always useful around cottages.

Accommodation is in one of our self catering cottages. Breakfast and lunch could be self catered in own cottage, food provided; and dinner usually served all together at the lodge. Plus use of canoes or kayaks `free of charge` to explore local rivers and lakes. Also, lots of trails to hike, fishing, swimming and sightseeing.

General Info:
We offer a unique and memorable tourism experience for Canadian and international visitors.

This is a friendly meeting place, and during itís hundred year history, has accommodated prospectors and gold miners (1911-1939), hosted a visit from US president Franklin D. Roosevelt (August 1943, and is the last lodge that accommodated Group of Seven artists, who painted the Algoma and La Cloche landscape, that is now Killarney Provincial Park.

Today, this place is the West Gate to Killarney Park, the official Ontario Parks Permit Issuer and Hwy 6 Access Point to the most beautiful part of the park back-country, Grace and Nellie Lakes.

We offer complete outfitting, historic cottage accommodation (>42 people), plus group and wilderness camping, hiking trails, canoeing on crystal clear lakes and climbing white quartzite ridges for spectacular views of a landscape that has inspired much art and peace of mind.
