Greetings, and welcome to my Helpx profile. I’m Constantin.

I transformed my house into a hostel, after being active in the CS community for many years. My home and Hostel is located in the village of Rosu, near Cahul, Moldova’s third-largest city, in the south of the Republic of Moldova. Rosu offers a true glimpse into life in the Moldovan countryside and gives you the chance to relax and enjoy nature. Here tranquility and a natural rhythm go hand in hand!

I would need help of one person, with cleaning in the house, or feeding the cat when I am not at home for several days. Helpers could also accompany hostel guests onwalks throughout Rosu or Cahul. In exchange, I can offer a private bedroom. I do not provide food because I make an offer for you to help here and get 15% of money that we will earn monthly at hostel, also to stay here around 3 months, so I accept only long term stay, I do it because I need time to teach you about work here it takes time learning to do daily things here and to have great experience of life in the village. Here in Moldova, the food is generally organic and less expensive than in other parts of Europe. I practice permaculture in my garden, and incorporate raw, vegetarian, and vegan principles into my diet. Some time is also possible to cook together. You most know that I accept assistants/volunteers not only people that follow plant based diet for personal nutrition, vegetarians, vegans, raw vegans, fruitarians are welcome, any way you have chance to try eating like that here if you want it, because I share time to time only this kind of food.

At the moment, I live alone in my family home. A recently-renovated bathroom and modern kitchen are located on the ground floor of the house. Free Wifi is available. I also have a cat named Lissa, who lives outdoors. I am a non-smoker, and ask that you only smoke outside.

Here in my village Rosu, you’ll enjoy all that Mother Nature has to offer: sunny days, blue skies, fresh air and water, organic fruit and vegetables. Rosu’s residents are friendly and eager to interact with travelers. Some of them even offer home-produced products for sale, such as eggs and wine. Guests sometimes refer to Rosu’s homes as ‘gingerbread houses’ because of their pretty blue exteriors and elaborate folk-art paintings and designs. Even the neighborhood water wells are decorated by hand! Each one is unique.

The city of Cahul is easily accessed via the local mini bus nr.7, which runs frequently to and from Rosu. A one-way bus ticket costs 3 Lei (approximately 0.15 Euro cents), and the ride takes about 15 minutes. Cahul has ATM machines, a modern supermarket, a fresh outdoor market, and several smaller specialty shops. Restaurants and bars there offer delicious food and wine, and the city's people are friendly. Cahul is a popular spa and health-resort destination and is also home to the folk music festival 'Nufarul Alb.'

Most important you need to know that I will be glad to host you, spent time with you and share Moldavian life experience, because there is not so much to do as a work but more to enjoy time at my place. Also I do a change in the garden using Permaculture principles, you can help and learn from me, in the same time I study and practice Raw food diet, Vegan diet, Vegetarian diet. Also studying individually foreign languages. See you here! Noroc!

I am looking forward to working together and sharing the Moldovan way-of-life with you. In return, I’m eager to learn more about your culture. Noroc! (Cheers!)

Warm regards,
