UPDATE: Hi, we are looking for 1 to 4 helpxers starting July 12th or later!

- fruit production (golden berries 0.5 ha)
- market gardening (fresh fruit and veg 2000m2)

Help is welcome all around the year, especially from March to October when there is a lot of work with our golden berries: pruning, training, fruit picking, sorting, weeding (hoeing).

Olive picking will be at the end of Oct, beginning of Nov, please contact us mid Oct for more information!

Other types of help: farming, general maintenance, gardening.

The quinta is family run (three generations in two houses). There is also pigs, goats, sheep, chicken, ducks, quail and rabbits, five dogs and five cats. We produce our own wine and vegetarian cheese.

Work times: 5 days per week, 5 hours per day.

Food and accommodation provided. We usually have lunch together (ovo lacto vegetarian). You will do your own breakfast and dinner and buy your own luxury goods, e.g. chocolate, beer, and shampoo. We can give you meat if you want. Helpers will share a fully furnished kitchenette / living room, shower, and water toilet. There is one double bed room and one caravan (sleeps 1 - 2).

Small cafe and convenience shop in walking distance. The next town, Sertã, is ca. 8 km far away (taxi 10 EUR). We do our shopping once a week when we can give you a lift into town.

How to get there: From Lisboa or Coimbra/Porto, take a bus (rede expressos or RBI / transdev) to Sertã where we can pick you up.

There is no wifi but it is possible to check your e-mails.

The farm is situated in the hills of Central Portugal, surrounded by forest. There is a beautiful view over the valley of the river Zezere where you can enjoy amazing sunsets!

We speak Portuguese, English and German.
