This building was built in the 1880's and is a well known heritage-listed building in Quorn (population ~1500), nestled in amongst some of the most beautiful parts of the Flinders Ranges, a short distance from some great bushwalking trails, camping sites..

On the main street of Quorn, amidst the 4 hotels, train station and other historic places, this two-storey building has 3 shops downstairs (including a popular second-hand bookshop) and shady courtyard garden at the rear. Upstairs is well known for its ballroom, originally built as a billiards hall, with beautiful vaulted pressed-metal ceiling, grand fireplace and a generous balcony overlooking the Ranges- a beautiful place to relax, read a book and soak in some sun.

James the owner, having worked as a Sheriff's Officer and professional firefighter in nearby Port Augusta moved to Quorn with great plans to restore this place to its former character and improve some of its time-wearied walls and features, has lots of small jobs that need doing, but nothing so taxing that it would detract from this being a great holiday location. Helpers assistance will be greatly appreciated, you'll be made very welcome and encouraged to enjoy yourself and the surrounding beauty of this small historic country town and the Flinders Ranges.
