Located on 5 acres in Bridgetown, Western Australia (just a 3 hour drive south of Perth). Adjoining Maslin Reserve KalyaaNa's garden is water wise and designed using permaculture, organic and sustainable living principles. Includes 30+ varieties of fruit trees, fire pit, walking paths, shaded seating areas, animal feeding (with a fistful of hay and muesli you’ll be an alpacas best friend, get up close and learn all about our alpacas. More than 80 bird species including Western rosellas, parrots, blue wrens, honey-eaters, finches, red robins, whistlers, pigeons, kookaburras and numerous water birds, reside in the Blackwood River Valley for all or part of each year. We are looking for either a couple or two people travelling together to help with the running of our property and gardens. Practical, honest, social and reliable people willing to learn new skills are very welcome. You need to be physically fit and able to speak good English. We offer a one week trial with the option to stay longer if suited. We will provide accommodation and three meals per day (breakfast/ lunch and evening meals). In return we require 20 hours per week. Times/ days flexible. Variety of work including gardening, mowing, weeding, pruning, painting, cooking, light house work/ cleaning, light farm duties, and carpentry/ building. If you have other skills we would be interested in hearing about them.
