I would love to have 1 or 2 people give me a hand as I am sinking fast with the amount of work that needs doing. Before we get started I just wanted to say that we are polite people who appreciate any help coming our way. I will feed you well, work alongside you and not expect you to do anything I will not do myself.

The work is varied. From building to landscape, fencing, and the main two which are composting and tree planting. I have just started a very small business whereby I compost horse & cow manure so you would be expected to help me shovel Poo, Believe in or not I find people helping are often surprised that they have a good time. The work has some physical demands but you can work at your own pace with about 5/6 hours being expected of you most working days. I don't expect you to work more than 4/5 days each week. If you need some time off I will not be unhappy about that either. We have two dogs and the horses at the property and cows are being moved over from our old property very soon, with a couple of heavy horses amongst the mix.

Until some building occurs our living arrangements are not the best. However we have found a solution that is a little out of the box. I have a neighbor with a spare bedroom who is more than happy to put you up. They are very down to earth and milk their cows by hand so you can have a go if you wish. OR if you have your own camper van or such that can fit into a 3 metre wide space I can put a roof over your head. If your van is bigger it is still welcome but won't fit under the roof.

To compensate for the strange accommodation arrangements....the work is varied and I don't run a dictatorship. I have had several helpers volunteer from another farm help me (on their days off) and they were really happy with their meals so as already stated the food should be pretty good. I will try to accommodate you food needs. And hopefully you find the company not too boring.

I know as a mother that I would worry about my children being on the other side of the world so I would like to think your mother would not worry about you coming here. We are utterly boringly safe people having said that though I don't mind a laugh, or the odd glass of wine. Life is too short to be all serious.

I would love for people to stay for 2 or 3 weeks at a time (or longer if they wish) but because the work is not complicated I would understand if you only stayed for a few days on your way through to somewhere else.

Please phone the land line phone as I do not have internet (yet) and mobiles don't work out here. I am not often inside the house until it is dark so ringing at night will have a better chance of catching me. If you get the answering machine please leave a see my elderly mother has plenty of time to think about all my faults and shortcomings and will ring me at night so that she can let me know her understandably I often wait to hear who is on the phone before picking it up!!!!

As for attractions we are close to the Bunya Mountains, a couple of historical townships (by Australian, standards), a Weir with camping grounds and most importantly a fair number of wineries!!!!

Thank you for looking at my site and safe travels.
