We are located in the picturesque Dandenong Ranges. We are 10 minutes south of Gembrook and 10 minutes north of Pakenham. We are accessible by public transport - a bus from Gembrook to Pakenham Station regularly runs past our property.

We are both horse riding instructors. We breed hereford cattle and run livery for horses, as well as working and training our own horses.

Running a property and business, as well as bringing up a 10 year old daughter, is a lot of work. Add to this the fact that I am going back to full time teaching, and we will really need some help with the feeding and care of the horses, so we would love the help of a clean living, non-smoking female or a couple of females, to assist us with our cattle and horses, in exchange for meals and comfortable accommodation in our family home. You will be treated like a member of our family.

Your room features a queen bed, TV/DVD player and wifi, and the door opens straight out to the swimming pool.

Work hours are 3-4 hours per day, to feed horses and change their rugs. We will provide breakfast and accomodation, in exchange for your work. If you are happy to assist with the preparation and cooking of the evening meal, you are welcome to join us for dinner as well. Basically, the more you help us, the more we will feed you!

Duties may include feeding and care of cattle, assisting with drenching and vaccinating. Assisting with our horses, including rugging, feeding, cleaning stables and equipment. Experienced riders can also exercise and ride our horses.

If you are not keen on horses, we would also welcome assistance with some of the never ending jobs that need to be done around a farm, including painting, gardening, cooking or cleaning.
