We run a family-owned eco-tourism company in the beautiful Luang Namtha Region (Northern Laos).

We organize guided tours (trekking, kayaking, and cycling) in the jungle and rivers of NamHa National Protected Area (NPA), and work with the local villages and minorities.

Eco-tourism is very important in for Luang Namtha as it allows the NPA to keep it's protected status and prevents the area from being developed with roads and agriculture, as well as protecting the village's way of life.

The tours we offer, go into villages and areas of the jungle that have no road access or developed land. Local guides are hired from these villages, and part of the cost of tours goes directly to the villages as well.

We have two options for volunteers, short and long term stays. The choice is not final. All are welcome, but we would prefer people who are willing to stay longer and invest in the business, for mutual profit.

We would like to host different motivated volunteers for the following tasks:

- This requires a good level of English. For this job we require a minimum stay of one month or longer, depending how you like your work.

Working time is flexible, schedule depends on the job and kind of activity.

We can offer free homemade food and opportunity to join the tour for free.

This offer may vary depending on your competences and working hours.

If short term volunteers like their experience, they can consider extending to a longer commitment, detailed below.

This is our preferred option. Interested volunteers can start with a trial period, to decide if this is the right fit for all involved.

Those interested should have some knowledge of business management and/or advertising. Interest in Eco-tourism is encouraged.

If the trial period goes well, a business visa can be arranged. All other considerations, such as meals, accommodation, wages/salary, and benefits can be negotiated as part of a contract.

Luang Namtha is an excellent base to explore the nearby area. Kayaking, rafting, trekking, cycling, visiting local minorities, and experiencing a different way of life are all possible here.
