A touch of paradise, 3 hours north west of Brisbane, easy to get to by bus or I can pick you up by arrangement. I travel to Brisbane frequently so I'm happy to pick you up and drop you off wherever you would like from sunshine coast to the Gold coast.

I live just 5 minutes from the little town of Nanango but in total isolation. My living arrangements are very primitive. All my water is tank water, drinking water is filtered rain water, you can't get better. Most cooking is done on open fire, yum!

There are 7 hens and 2 sheep that help me keep the weeds and grass under some form of control (until we have rain). I have many building projects in mind, fencing to help keep my sheep from wandering, retaining walls, vege gardens (making, maintaining and harvesting), tool shed, clearing lantana and many more. Slowly working through the list but some need more hands than I have. I have accommodation for 1 or 2 people, meals provided.

At the moment, because of all the lovely rain we have had, there is plenty of lawn mowing to be done.I have a ride on lawn mower which is fun.
Some local attractions are the Bunya mountains, local swimming holes, vineyards, local markets, country muster in September (country music), rodeos, country horse racing and much more. Come discover the Great south east Nanango style. I can get you to some of these activities but because of my heavy work load you may want to arrange your own outings.

My dad has just helped me make a laying box for the hens. The girls love it and have already started laying in it. Thanks dad (and girls)

with the help of my first helpx helpers I now have a new compost bin, garage for my car, fencing and many other smaller jobs completed. Fantastic!
