Hi we are a small family owned and run recently converted robotic dairy farm. If you have experience on a Lely robotic farm we would enjoy hosting you. We aren't organic, however we try to use the least amount of sprays, etc as possible and we have a biological fertiliser system. There may also be easy gardening or other farm jobs to assist with. Our dairy farm is located 5 minutes drive from Palmerston North airport - we are a 2 hour drive to Wellington, Hawkes Bay and Taranaki and 1 1/2 hours to the ski fields (winter) or tramping (summer) of the Ruapehu area, and 3 hours to Taupo. We would prefer you to have your own vehicle. We envisage that you will work a few hours a day in exchange for free lodging and we will supply basic food and cooking ingredients for you to self cater at your leisure (including free range eggs, bacon etc). The bedding arrangement is a double bed, so one person or two that don't mind sharing. You must be non smokers and don't mind cats. Wi-Fi (limited) may be available. Please note that our feedback from our last wonderful visitors is slightly different, as we hosted them in our own home (which is off the dairy farm). This time members of our family are supplying the accommodation - which is situated on the dairy farm. So no children are living at the accommodation, however a friendly cat is!
