This is a boutique broodmare farm at the foot of the high country and we are looking for ongoing helpers for year round work.

It would be appreciated if, in return for weekly accommodation at our farm, workers could work 4 days per week, which would include 2 shifts of 3 hours each.

Public transport to both Mansfield, and the High Country, and Melbourne, is available twice daily via V/Line bus at the Merton General Store. Popular local tourist destinations include Mt Buller, Mt Stirling, Craig’s Hut, Lake Eildon, Bonnie Doon, Wonnangatta Station, Sheep Yard Flat & the High Country. Many popular local events can be found on the Mansfield Tourism Website.

The farm's structure is focused on horse safe facilities for a range of breeding stages and is also perfectly positioned for workers to spend their leisure time exploring the local tourism and countryside.

It is staffed by equine qualified owners who provide mares with individual and personal attention and onsite veterinary consultations. No horse experience or skills are required as workers will not be asked to attend to the horses.

Self-contained on-farm accommodation at the stable complex provides bedding for 5 and includes TV, kitchen, bathroom, air-conditioning and wood fire heating.

There are a range of great job opportunities in a variety of tourism and farm related industries close at hand for those who would like paid employment when not attending our farm.

Whilst staying at our farm, we would appreciate assistance with unskilled, general, basic farm maintenance. The farm manager would oversee all activities; and workers do need to be physically fit and in good health for this outdoor country lifestyle.

Daily meals would be included, and meals can be taken privately at your personal apartment in the stable complex, but the preparation and cooking of homestead meals would be appreciated as one of your roles, and meal sharing is welcome. Daily domestic duties involved with cooking and cleaning at the homestead would not be expected on leisure days.

For any further information please feel free to browse our website or Facebook profile or email Sunny Mitchell for all questions and enquiries.
