Are you an experienced horse person looking to work with top class horses? Had some trackwork experience? Willing to muck in with all horsey tasks? With a welcoming family? Then look no further!

Hey, my name is Mark Harris, and I run a yard just 30 minuets outside of Christchurch City centre. I have racehorses getting ready for this years races and am looking for someone with trackwork experience to come and help get them ready. I also breed my own and run a polo school so there is lots going on and the dogs, Baxter and Tutu are sure to come help you with the daily jobs. My wife, Rusyl, and I are offering a real New Zealand experience in this beautiful part of the world.

Day to day tasks include exercising large numbers of horses, mucking out, polishing tack, etc. (not forgetting riding on the beach, only 5 minuets away and just paradise, Baxter's best part of the day!). I am a qualified polo instructor so if you are up to it we will do some stick and balling on 'Tim' the Wooden horse, some polo lessons in the sand school, and of course you might even get to play a few chukkas!

There is lots to do round here in your spare time. Being just 30 minuets from Christchurch City, a lovely city even with all the rebuilding work going on. The hot pools are another favourite and Banks Peninsula is beautiful and just a hop at only 1.5 hours away. Alittle further, at 2 hours, is Kaikoura for those budding wildlife enthusiasts.

Due to the nature of having to get to know the horses longer term guests are required and we have plenty of space for you to join the family. Please only apply if you are VERY experienced around horses and willing to muck in. It is also necessary that your experience is current - there are a lot of young horses needing to be handled and racehorses to be exercised.
