Hi I have 2 options available.
Im looking for a solo female traveler, age not a barrier.
I need a hand to dig over some serious areas of my section/property to prepare for planting vege gardens so you would need to be experienced in this as digging and turning earth properly is a skill. I have never dug this property over in the 30 years Iv owned it, been a no dig gardener all these years but I want to bury the weed seed this winter and save myself a weeding job come spring :) We could also Line the pathe's with river stones, dig holes with me and plant Punga trees and make a fire pit area, all with my help and some work alone stuff, nail totara battens on my fences for aesthetic effect etc etc Basic maintenance around the place to keep it tidy. Weekends free.
Option 2; Short or long term over the winter months. I home school my Grandson, he's 9 yrs old. With or without teacher aide skills but an interest in teaching children.
The schoolwork program is fun and is all provided by Te Kura The Correspondence school, very easy to follow so if you have skills in this area we'd love to host you.
Tuesdays are Pajama Days which mean I stay in my pajamas all day and lay around recovering from the previous 6 days. Pajama Day is not compulsory but is one of your days off :)
Nothing gets done except eating, drinking, sleeping, reading and relaxing.
All light work really and good fun interspersed with bonfires and bevvies ;) whatever needs doing on the week plan pretty much.
Maybe drag some prunings and build a bonfire.
Someone who is easy to get along with and likes a laugh and can work well on their own sometimes.
Im on State Highway One between Hunterville and Ohingaiti.
We go to Wanganui city once a week.
My place is always warm as I am no fan of the cold weather.
Rangitikei River a short walk from here. We go fishing often beach and river. No cigarette smokers though sorry. Start asap. I admin the facebook FHINZ page as well and have pics on there.
If you can play the piano or guitar or ukelele and could teach my wee lad how to play some music that would be fantastic as well. I have these instruments here.
Vegetarian or meat eating Im skilled in both and adapt to whoever stays here. Share cooking too. I provide the basic and wholesome everyday diet but If you have any wild and wonderful other diet needs like cake or lollies LOL or Gluten Free etc or allergies you will need to provide those extra things that are not fruit and Vege for yourself :)
Im also partial to road trips for Hot Swims in the winter up past The Mountains/Desert Road so we would detour for the famous Johnny Nations Chocolate Eclair shop in Ohakune on our way for a hot swim at Te Kaanu. (We are going day after tomorrow/25th May)
Looking forward to sharing some time with you :)
I also have a mate (Molly) who will be moving in to the camper out the back next week and only her and I and my Grandson live here. Low key and cruisy.
Cheers Sharon and Hunter.
