My name is Marko.

I am a retired Croatian man living in the beautiful nature of Southern Croatia.

I have retired to a piece of land that my family has owned for as long as we can remember. This land has not been maintained for 60+ years, and it is important to me that we try to maintain this important historical activity.

In my retirement, I am creating a Nature Park that is open to travelers to stay for free.

Activities that occur:

clearing land
planting and maintaining trees, fruits and vegetables
harvesting fruits and vegetables
basic construction (BBQ, basic shelter, water thank, anything that a traveler might need)

Please note that I am not running a business, and am living on a small pension.

I cannot afford to provide meals for you on a regular basis.
I like to keep busy and desire to create a place for travelers to come and enjoy nature, learn more about Croatia, and have a free place to stay. You can come here and put your ideas into practice. I only ask that you make sure that any gardening is organic and pesticide free.

Additionally, I do not have electricity. I rely on solar and a generator, and use electricity sparingly.

On my property, the following plants are growing in a semi-wild state. You can harvest as much of the food as you want when it's in season.

pine nuts
some local, native fruits

I am also trying to develop an old, natural insecticide using Chrysanthemum flowers.

Please note that this area is very beautiful and I am happy for you to enjoy your time here. There are trails down the mountain side to the beach. The nearest town (with a grocery store) is 5km away - Molunat.

I also know some people around the area who might need help during harvesting time. This may include citrus, grapes, or olives. They may or may not be 100% organic. It is your decision if you would like to assist in any harvest.

There is a bus you can catch into Dubrovnik, which is about 35km away.
