22 acres of tropical jungle, short and long crops; apiary (bee keeping), fruit trees; bananas, tomatoes, land clearing, building of small structures for on site accommodations, irrigation systems, building road to farm.Work is general manual farm labour, varied work load depending on crop or project, some heavy lifting, land clearing, requires hiking into the land until road built. Usually a 4 - 6 hour day 4 to 5 days a week. Lodging: board house is 15 minutes from farm, 2 bedrooms available, indoor plumbing, space open under house if you want to hang hammock. Meals: mostly garden harvested local foods and flavour. Please specify any preferences eg. Vegetarian. This is a tropical environment, bring insect repellent. Flashlight, first aid kit. Working in the garden requires long pants(light cotton jeans material) and rubber boots, specify if the boots need to be provided. This area is in one of the most beautiful locations in Trinidad and Tobago. The coast is rugged but there are secluded beach spots and always a sea or mountain breeze. The locals are very friendly and your experience will be memorable! While you are in the garden you will hear tropical birds, see beautiful butterflies and feel at one with nature!
