We are a family run station situated 220km north-east of Alice Springs. Run beef cattle and a store supporting the local Indigenous community.

The weather is cooling down as winter approaches. The nights are still cool but the days are mostly in the 20s. We did not receive much summer rain and the country is dry. Last year we had very little as well so once again we are anxious for a little bit of winter rain ,which is not the case most years. It will be very pleasant from now until September.

We like to share all aspects of our life with people who are eager to experience outback Australia.

There are great opportunities for bush walking and listening to the sounds in , and, of the bush.
We endeavour to take guests around the property to experience the wide range of animals and the scenery which changes extensively.

Jobs include: light housework, feeding animals, gardening, store duties and cattlework as required. We have some 20 goats that need to be locked up each afternoon and let out in the mornings. The chickens are also on the list of feeding, collecting eggs etc.We also have a dog that needs looking after!!

We have had Backpackers visiting and helping out since 1990 and we enjoy hearing about their families, where they live and all about their travels.

Please contact us if you are interested. Central Australia has so much to offer and we endeavour to give helpers a happy and interesting time.

As there is no public transport we are willing to pick up from Alice Springs. We go to Alice on a Wednesday or Thursday every week and that is when you need to be in Alice so we can pick you up.

Due to the distance and fuel costs it is near impossible to do extra trips so we would appreciate if you could work your stays around Wednesday or Thursdays.

We encourage people to stay a fortnight as a week is not really long enough though we do understand that you are on schedules and time seems to go so quickly when you are travelling.

Helpers are welcome from all walks of life and we have had many varied delightful people.

We have been very lucky and had many Helpers who have given us much pleasure and an insight into their places of living , and, their way of life. We thank them.

As mentioned in a helpers message it is busy and always something going on.
Please feel free to contact us to see if we have vacancies.
