Hi there, we are a new craft micro-brewery 'Lucky Bay Brewing' and require help with a diverse range of jobs in the brewery and general maintenance tasks on our 5 hectare property.

We are a friendly young couple living 12km from the town of Esperance (so your own car is a good idea). We both have day jobs, plus run our brewery business. Our home has an organic vegetable garden, fruit orchard, olive grove, chickens, ducks, a dog, and a micro-brewery...surrounded by natural bushland with lots of birds, 8 minutes drive or 25 minutes bicycle ride from the beach.

We love meeting people from other places around the world and sharing experiences. We'll share our home with you and our favourite local places, and even take you to our favourite surf spots if you're keen.

You are welcome to stay in a self contained rammed earth building with free Wi-Fi (limited), bedroom (double bed) with heating/ fan, kitchen/lounge with fire place and bathroom. Plus a caravan available amongst our olive grove if you come with a friend or children. We live in a cosy straw bale cottage with outdoor area including an awesome pizza oven.

We are happy to swap 4 hours work per day for meals and accommodation. We are flexible with arrangements to suit you, for example you might like to work 2 full days to then have a few days exploring our nearby beaches, wildflowers and beautiful National Parks. We generally will have tasks all year round.

There are many different brewery tasks you can help with. Having you RSA (responsible service of alcohol) is a good if possible, as then you can help serve beer to customers.

We would love help to plant vegetable seedlings/seed and weeding in our vegetable garden. There is grass to be mowed plus fruit trees and an olive grove to maintain. Helping to cook meals, helping in the kitchen, and helping look after our chickens, ducks, and our dog Obi-Wan is part of the deal too. Please note we eat mostly vegetarian.

We have started construction of the brewery office which is a converted sea container and would love a hand finishing this job. We also need a gate and fence built, so if you have any handyman skills please let us know!

If you have any photography/ video editing/ webpage/ marketing skills let us know too, as would be great to get some more product images for our web page etc.

Twilight Beach is only 25 minutes bicycle ride away via a shortcut track, and then you can ride along the ocean bicycle/walk path to town. We have bikes you can borrow. We also have 2 kayaks with life vests you can borrow if you'd like to explore the nearby wetlands or Esperance Bay. We are keen beach goers and our days tasks are often guided by the surf conditions. Yes we have a spare board to loan if you are into surfing as well.

We have a dog Obi-Wan and he is still learning some manners, so a little understanding of dogs will be necessary. We also have friendly chickens and ducks who provide delicious eggs in their own straw bale chook house!
