Hi helpXers!
We are an association that manage a backpacker hostel for the walkers (from all over the world !) on the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route and for others various groups (school groups, sporting groups, people who make personal development activities...)

Looking for 2 volunteers for stays of one month or 15 days, from may to october.

You work together with employees' team and with the oters volunteers (Volunteers' team consists of 2 or 4 people)

Situated close (5 mn walking) to the historic centre of Moissac (with one of the finest Romanesque cloister, registered in UNESCO World Heritage), our former (we are completely laic now) covent is a peaceful and unforgettable place. It is composed of a garden, a chapel, a shaded cloister, different kitchens and various rooms.
Our center is open all day long.

Working hours are already quite planned :
- every other day : from about 6/7am to prepare the breakfast and oversee it (it's a self-service breakfast), then cleaning and tidying up the kitchen to around 9/10 AM.

- Until 2pm or 4 pm (it depends...) You have free time to relax to visit the area...

- From 2pm (ou 4pm it's dependant the team of volunteers) to 7 PM it the welcoming time ; You welcome the pilgrims (show them their room, informe them about things to know, to have a small chat with them ...

-From 6/7pm: Food preparation (setting the table, reheating the food (you wont need to cook or infrequently since we have a catering service)
-From 7:15pm it's the timemeal
- then cleaning and tidying up the kitchen and ultimate fits before night until about 9:30pm.

We can also serve the meal for 20 people one day and 50 the next day. For this reason, we will be helped by the employees'team when the number of dinner guests is important

If you have others skills or if you like to garden, to cook, to sew, to do-it-yourself, to make foot massage ... we're sure that we'll find you some little works for you !

In exchange of your help, you'll have a single room and you'll share the bathroom with the other volunteer or the 3 others volunteers.
We share meals with the others volunteers but you can sometimes have the opportunity to cook on your own if you like. We take care of the expenses of food.

You have 1 day a week off during your stay of one month (1 day off if you stay 15 days) so you could have the opportunity to make a lie-in or/and to discover the area round.
We have wifi (in precise places !) so bring your own labtop)

Travellers from all over the world are welcome ! provided that you speak some french words (easier ;) !)
Helpers must be practical, flexible and enjoy working with people and Which is useful of the teamwork.

The period of one month stay is strongly desired... and you can even stay some days off after this period visiting the surroundings and relaxing you, you can !
We will be pleased to welcome you as a volunteer. If you have some question, feel free to contact us !

Hope see you soon !
