We are currently establishing a lifestyle block with extensive gardens and native bush planting around our home, which is a former convent. We relocated the building from a small town 80 kms away to our land just to the west of Greytown, with views of the mountains.

We have 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms in our home for helpXers exclusive use. We can take up to 3 helpXers at a time. We offer free wifi and meals in return for interesting conversation, assistance with farm work including cutting firewood, planting trees, establishing garden. We would love you to help teach us about cooking in your country.

Greytown is a pretty, historic village about an hour northeast of Wellington, in an area known for its vineyards and olive groves.

Vegetarian hosts. 2 km from Greytown village, we can pick up from Woodside station, about 75 mins from Wellington Central on the Wararapa line. We have a mountain bike for helpers to use. Nonsmokers only.

We expect 4 hours work in return for accommodation and meals, flexible as to how this is done: you may wish to work a full day and take the next one off.
