Dear helpers, I am sorry to announce that we cannot take any helper this year as we are going to renovate our house. Stay tuned!

We are a young family with three kids (6, 4 and 2) in South-East Estonia, about 80km from Tartu and 45km from Võru. We run a small hobby-farm with a more-or-less organic vegetable garden and small herd of sheep and some bee-hives. In this summer we are happy if you can help us with all kind of farm-work - tending the garden, helping to feed animals, repairing the fences, picking wild berries and mushrooms from the forests that start right behind our backyard, chopping and storing the firewood etc. We expect you to work about five hours a day and in your free time you can hike in surrounding forests, walk to the lake Lämmijärv for a swim, take our bicycles for visiting surroundings and get to know the traditional sauna customs. Our home is quite small but as an Estonian proverb says: lots of good sheep can fit into the same barn:) Sleeping is in one of our outbuildings and washing is in the sauna. We do communal cooking and we are eager to learn the recipes from your grandmother. We know another helpX family nearby, so there is a good chance that you will meet other helpers and hosts, not to mention about curious villagers. It is relatively easy to reach us by bus or by train and we can either pick you up from the station or you can hike to our place through the forests.
