**We are looking a couple to join our happy home and hostel from 10th April until the end of April when we close for the season (however we'll do a 2 week trial to ensure everyone is happy and having fun!) Possibility to extend a little longer. Get in touch if you think this sounds like you :)**

John and I turned a gorgeous 100 year old villa into a fun and quirky hostel/BnB with loads of activities and facilities for our guests and helpers. With the help of our 40+ helpers of course!

>We've got chickens and loads of fruit/nut trees so we need help with that
>We've been open 2 years now, so you'll either be helping to run the hostel/lodge, or do things like gardening, or complete the renovations (there is still the outdoor kitchen to complete, for example) Endless ideas!

About us:
We're 33 and 34, have spent 3 years traveling around the world and have done 6 helpx volunteer stints which we loved! We love the outdoors and spend our winters snowboarding and our summers hiking, biking, kayaking etc. We also love the odd party, at home, or in the happening Queenstown which is 40mins drive away.
>Kimberley works from home, and flies back to Auckland once a month to the head office while John runs the lodge and does building contracts in the area.

About Kingston and the area:
The lodge is in the cute wee village of Kingston, 30 minutes from the airport and 40 minutes to the vibrant Queenstown. The perfect place to be away from it all in the stunning surroundings, but close enough to everything Queenstown has to offer. This is on the main route towards Milford Sound.
>It's a quiet place with one Pub/Cafe/shop, ATM, petrol station, a golf course, basketball hoops, Tennis court, gorgeous lake side setting, bush/lakeside walks, yoga, hunting, fishing and a cycle trail. We're also 25 minutes to the Remarkables Ski Field. There is a small shop but the closest supermarket is in Frankton which is 30 minutes away.
>It would be best if you had your own car (for exploring in your time off!) but we do have bikes and helpers can come with us into town. You may also be able to borrow a car.

We work hard and play hard!

>You will work for 5 hours per day, 5 days per week (2 days off per week.)This is on top of normal living duties (e.g. doing the dishes after we cook, keeping the house tidy.)
>Minimum stay of 2 weeks
>You'll get your own space/bed, and yummy food (plus use of our bikes, hot tub, sauna, table tennis, foseball, darts, golf clubs, tennis racquets, books, boardgames, kayaks, cinema room etc) Your space will be Cheyanne the Caravan, a quirky space with double bed, seating area, and camping toilet for during the night, all nestled in the trees.

We're looking for the following skills:
>People who would like to chat to guests & share travel stories with them
>Don't mind cleaning and making beds daily
>Handy men and women
>Friendly, energetic and hardworking
>Potentially someone who doesn't mind running the place for a day or two so we can go away.

While we work hard, we love to socialise and have a good time too!
