We are a small group of people (the Temurcu family, with twin boys of 8 years, and Ozgen) who try to implement and disseminate ways of living and producing in harmony with nature. We live in the Tahtaciörencik village, near Ankara. We want to create sustainable and replicable models in such areas as small-scale family farming, natural farming, permaculture, nature conservation, community-supported agriculture, non-violent communication, and gift economy.

During 2016 we need volunteers to help us in building our cottage house and doing organic garden work. Volunteers can stay in a shared tent, sleep in their own tents, or stay with us in our current house in the village (limited).

On our land of about 8 decars, we have started to build a cottage house out of stones, strawbales, wood and adobe. We have constructed an open kitchen, a simple sun-heated shower, and compost toilets. Around the kitchen we have solar energy for light and for charging phones and laptops. We have 3G wi-fi for e-mail and for other e-communication.

Our water and gardening infrastructure is ready; we have started to grow organic vegetables and plant trees as part of our permaculture design. We are currently producing natural products in food, health and cosmetic categories, and we take part in a PGS (Participatory Guarantee System) in Ankara. We also collaborate with the villagers to promote an ecological development in and around our village.
