It is a volunteer organization established in 2010 and registered with social welfare council of Nepal. It is a non—governmental and extremely non-profitable organization working under the principle of “change society by Volunteering”. It established with the objective of changing and promoting the status of the country. The members of its group have collected enough experiences in volunteering works and are familiar with every problems of the society.
Our mission is to offer meaningful opportunities for volunteers and for us both to gain a deeper understanding of each other. Volunteers from all over the world are offered work on life-changing projects in various fields.
English Language Teacher- Teaching in School
Women Empowerment - Helping to women running program, Empowering them, teaching English them.
Teaching in Monastery- Teaching English to small monks and Learning Buddhism
Environment Awareness- Teaching Environment, Aware to community people and children.
Community Health Post Volunteer- Assisting Doctors and nurses in community health post.
Helping in Tibetan medical clinic- Teaching Tibetan medicine and helping on treatment
Organic Farming- Helping on Agriculture and organic farm
International volunteer village- Eco- village program, tourism activities
Cultural Exchange/ Home Stay.
Orientation and Training:
Upon Volunteers arrival in Kathmandu we offer 3 days to 1 week of orientation and training at our office, depending on the type of programs. These training help volunteers to understand our organization, various programs and opportunities, country, Nepali language and culture, safety measures, visa issues, dos and don’ts, etc. During the orientation and training period in Kathmandu, we organize the sightseeing around the Kathmandu Valley 3 hours every day.
During the orientation and training period, volunteers will be participating in:
· 2 hours basic Nepali language class per day.
· Cultural information/safety issues.
· Volunteers’ interests, programs and opportunities, and placement information.
· Sightseeing in Kathmandu every day after training.
· Shopping opportunities upon request.
The placement is concerned stay in a Nepali family in different part of Nepal depend on chosen project like in Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan, Gorkha, Dhaading and Nuwakot. Usually school, monasteries, local organization/club/women groups and Health post at easy distance away and the volunteers will have to work4-5 hours everyday. Generally volunteer work starts at 10am and is over at 2pm. More often than not program runs 6 days a week and Saturday is a weekend day. On that day the volunteers can get together and share their experiences. They can travel to nearby towns to purchase things for daily use and other areas in case of longer vacation.
Food and Accommodation:
Every volunteers will be provide separate room with simple bed. Most of the family have internet service. The family offer Nepali food twice a day (around 9am in the morning and 7pm in the evening). Tea is served in the morning and afternoon.
We request a small donation for organization to every volunteer. Normally volunteer pay $10 per day.
