We are looking for passionate people who enjoy creating harmonious relationships among people and the earth. Come and join us working in our bio dynamic vegetable gardens, orchard and compost area. Help prepare or process food, make firewood, plant native trees or help with building projects like caravan and yurt restoration. Beach, mountains, ferry to town close. Long-term stays preferred.
This is a beautiful piece of land in Purau Bay, near Diamond Harbour, and we organise about 5 acres of it. We are 40 min away from Christchurch by car or 30 min by ferry and public bus service.
For 150 years the land has been a Eucalyptus forest but part of it has now been transformed to organic vegetable gardens, orchards and pasture. Buildings and services comply with organic principles (eg. natural building materials like strawbale and wood, greywater recycling, solar heating, composting).
We are Mareile and Nirdosh and feel to be stewards of the land. We are in a process of change, expanding our longing to be in vibrant community. Our grown-up children currently live around the world visiting whenever they can.
