* We are closed for the season!

We are a couple of young farmers living in Yarmouth, NS looking for a motivated, open-minded, hard working Helper for our 2016 season. We prefer a female Helper but will consider a female-female or male-female couple. Helpers must provide their own accommodations (van/bus/camper/trailer/tent). English speaking, although one of your hosts is fluent in Acadian French. No children or pets please. Will provide a cultural experience of our beautiful Yarmouth and Acadian Shores. Smoking & drinking is permitted, if responsible.

Work days vary however we try to take 1-2 days off a week to relax and enjoy our farm. An average work day is anywhere from 3-6 hrs, depending on the time of year, however we will only require you to work as much as you are willing and capable to do.

Work includes (but not limited to):
Gardening (weeding, planting, watering, mowing)
Splitting, stacking & bringing in firewood
Egg washing & sorting
General house chores (sweeping, mopping, laundry, dishes, etc)
General carpentry and fence mending
Caring for our farm animals, which includes chickens, goats, quails, rabbits, cats, dogs, etc. Care includes watering, feeding, grooming, cleaning barn, coops, stalls, cages, brooders, haying, etc.
And much more!

Shuttle service from Halifax Airport to our home (4 hrs) is available. If you choose to take the Yarmouth or Digby Ferry, we will gladly pick you up there. We assure you, you will be well taken care of. =]
