We farm free range pigs, cattle, poultry and have a market garden. One of us is an ex-chef the other a climate change scientist with CSIRO. You will never have a bad meal and we love to cook a range of different ethnic dishes. Most of what we eat is grown/reared on the farm. We make our own charcuterie and salamis. We are trying to live as sustainably as possible and discourage the use of chemicals including excessive use of shampoos, detergents and cosmetics. One room is 2 single beds and we have a caravan attached to the house with a double bed. All meals are taken together. We match the work with people's skill levels, language skills and interests where possible. We expect 5 hours work per day (with 1 day off)for every 7 days accommodated. Flexible hours can be discussed. This may be a good option while you wait for other picking work to start in the area. In return we offer good food, nice accommodation, excursions, free internet, home brew, espresso coffee, fishing etc and help with language improvement. Minimum stay of 2 weeks not including day of arrival and departure. We can pick up from central Hobart on weekdays. Please check out the youtube video in reviews and our blog for more info and photos of the surrounding area and property at
