Hello! Julley! Dear friends
I'm stanzin us a mountain guide,now i accept volunteer sometime only when i have free room.
But during my Trek I realized that There is some woman's in the villages and some of my neighborhood who's interested and looking for volunteers also.So I advised them about Helpx But they need my help for this.
Finally I have reliable internet connection so I'm able to helping to organised volunteers to them.From the year 2019.
we're looking for international travelers who would like to live with us and interested in experience a special part of ladakhi Agricultural lifestyle.
They live in a traditional Ladakhi farmhouse which incorporates glacier and spring water,organic methods of crop cultivation and dairy.(Crops, projects,etc).
Agricultural work changes from season to season, but there is always work to be done. Whatever the Eco tourist is looking for.
(If you don't have a conversational level of one of these languages, we cannot accept you at this time)
We have one room for 2 volunteers to share in traditional ladakhi house.
Organic food,compost toilet, Tea/Coffee all meals Etc Will be provided.
Please let us know about any dietary requirements.
SUGGEST LENGTH OF STAY FOR VOLUNTEERS:
We prefer long-term volunteers(1 month+) or one week Sunday off.
THIS IS NOT a free volunteer experience.
Helpers are expected to contribute 150 rupees/day per person those who come for long term +1 month maximum stay 1 year Saturday/ Sunday off.
And for stays of less then 2 week only.the cost is 300 rupees/day per person. maximum stay 1 week Sunday off.
Volunteering for one week, what experience you will get its not fixed, depending on witch season time you come.
A BRIEF DESCRIPTION ORGANIC ACTIVITIES: (Crops, projects,etc)
SEASON IN APRIL:
Cutting trees,stocks wood for winter, Restoration Fields, Construction, Planting tree,Preparation for gardening,Planting flowers Etc.
Compost for nourishing the fields. Watering the fields to became softer, We used (zoo) Ox tractor in some place. for pull or carry heavy things during Organic gardening season we Plant: potatoes, carrot, onion, Turnip, Cabbage, Spinach, Peas, Cauliflower, Radish, Leek, Coriander, flower, Etc Crops also include barley, wheat, mustard. Using animal (zoo)
Barley, wheat, and other grains are pounded with mortar and pestle to make 4/5 different flours and mustard oil. We used traditional Ladakhi stone mill running by water.
Mainly gardening work: weeding, watering, harvesting wild plants, household management, Eco tourist season.
Fruit season, Eco tourism, during harvest, visitor are shown how to cut the various crops using a knife, learn cooking ladakhi,Indian food, and packed vegetables peas, potatoes, etc, from garden.
A washing Barley, wheat, and other grains are pounded with mortar and pestle to make 4/5 different flours and mustard oil. We used traditional Ladakhi stone mill running by water.
SEASON: 5 in October
Apricot season only in our village,
Harvesting potato,Carrots,Vegetable By using Animal (zoo) packing,Divided the size and stored to cook in winter and seed for next season also Environmental work cleaning the fields Collects garbage, Mainly plastics, bottles.
NON FARMING CAN BE ANY TIME
Restoration, Environmental, Cooking Ladakhi Indian food, Construction using local materials (Soil, Clay, Stone, wood) making bricks, Working with ponies, Alternative construction with low cost technology, House management, Eco tourism,panting,Carpentry,making bricks.

OTHER COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES:
Communicating with local villagers, Religious celebration, Monastery ceremony, Participating in local Festival, school program, Enjoy time with international visitors family and trekking.
