Note: the location above says "Tahiti" however my sailboat (and I!) could be anywhere in French Polynesia: Moorea, Huahine, Raiatea, Taha, Bora-Bora, Maupiti, Tuamotu... So check with me where I'll be on the dates you wish to stay onboard.

A sailboat is offering a spot for the RIGHT person to share and enjoy the cruiser's lifestyle in French Polynesia.

Your shared duties will be hands-on and alternate between boat maintenance, sailing and preparing for the next crossing. You will also be assisting with every-day chores like cleaning, cooking and provisioning. Previous helpers have found that the workload is quite balanced and leaves you a lot of time to read and explore the surroundings.

Boat maintenance:
You need to be handy, have good hand coordination and want to learn about knots, fiberglass, sanding, painting, caulking, etc... In other words you will "get your hands dirty".

If you have no sailing experience this is the perfect place to learn if you have the ability to absorb knowledge quickly. The "classroom" is a real sailboat, so you will build the confidence you need to complete each task right away.
Depending on the location of the boat, how long you stay, and your ability/experience you might participate in a crossing between islands of French Polynesia. Such crossing usually entails a night sail.

We tend to enjoy visiting the more remote places outside of the standard “milk run” route. We enjoy a minimalist approach with little engine use, we anchor out most of the time and live at local standards of living. The weather and winds often determine where we go and when - as safety is my number 1 priority.

You need to be very fit, enjoy this minimalist lifestyle, cherish Nature, the outdoors and the water. A positive, "always happy" and adaptable spirit is REQUIRED.

Superb sunsets guaranteed in the nicest waters of the world! Join the adventure!

Skills in need: free diving/apnea - ukulele teacher - fishing - yoga - video editing - baking.
