Moora Moora is an intentional community of about 30 households on top of Mount Toolebewong, 70km north-east of Melbourne.
Our helpers stay together in a community owned building we call 'The Lodge'. We are a great place to come and help at as there are always lots of people, other helpers or community members to have fun with. The work is varied as you work with different people each day. Jobs that you are likely to be asked to do included vegetable gardening, weeding, fencing, building, painting, rendering, wood splitting, wood staking, landscaping, building chicken runs, cleaning, perhaps child minding and more.
We have wifi in The Lodge but it is a little slow. The Lodge is also solar powered and power is limited sometimes, we cannot use hair dryers in The Lodge.
During your two days off we have many ways you can enjoy yourselves. We have a waterhole to swim in and a tennis court. We are also surrounded by forest which you can explore. There are beautiful views and much wildlife to be seen such as wombats, wallabies, goannas and abundant birdlife.
We ask that you stay for one week minimum.
Please get in touch if you are interested.
