I'm French and I'm 6 years in Brazil. I would be happy to have you as a guest in my organic farm in the Cerrado. The place here enjoys a wonderful biodiversity and a lot of endemic plants. It is a small farm focused on ecotourism. I would like to raise awareness of the preservation of the Cerrado, of the agroecology and of the use of the medicinals plants of the Cerrado among young and enthusiastic people. I look forward to seeing you there!

What to see and do :
On my website you can see the interesting spots around Cavalcante (25 km)
www.cerradinho.net, go to "Atraction-Atrativo"
It's interesting to organise a short stay at the Kalungas', 30 km away from Cavalcante.
The Kalungas are the descendent of former black slaves and used to work in the nearby goldmines which were closed in 1985.
There are a lot of other spots to visit :
6 km : "Poço encantado", waterfall and swimming
60 km : City of Alto Paraiso and surroundings
market (saturday morning)
waterfalls (called "las loquinhas")
90 km : Town of São Jorge, entry to the Chapada national park
many wandering routes available, hot water sources
On the road to São Jorge :
fazenda volta da terra with a waterfall
center for tree climbing/ outdoor activities
This region is very rich and active in alternative ways of living. In order to meet people the best thing to do is to visit the weekly market of Alto Paraiso to meet people and get into the network. You can get to learn construction in adobe or bamboo, meet native people, discover beekeeping etc...
Taking care of the material
