Our business and staff accommodations are nestled in the heart of Waskesiu in a 3000 square foot, 1930's log structure, which is a designated Federal Heritage Building. Our business is named after Canada's 1st active and most outspoken Environmentalist, who lived with nature and was buried with her near by at Ajawaan Lake, just 40 km NW of the Waskesiu town-site.
Our business has been around for 17 years and our mission is to help people get connected with nature through our line of equipment and service offerings such as: cycling, kayaking, canoeing, stand up paddle boarding, guided hiking, outdoor sports and much more. We're looking for people who are social and eager to learn. We have a wide variety of work that is to be done such as: customer service, teaching people how to use our equipment, maintenance of our shop and equipment. Having knowledge of bicycle maintenance and repairs is a plus! The work we provide often is unsupervised so it is mandatory that you are capable of recognizing what needs to be done. Workers will be required to work between 20-30 hours per week and the benefits include free accommodations, food provided, free use of our equipment, and our knowledge of the park at your disposal. We will be looking for people for the months of May-October but not required to stay the whole time. Minimum 2 weeks stay (we are flexible).
The bus comes right to our door. Our accommodations are small, but that won't have an impact on your life as you are aware that most of life's happenings occur outdoors!
Our mission is to touch everyone that crosses our thresh-hold in such a way that we will be part of their most cherished memories.
We look forward to your visit.
