Next available start: 1 March

Come stay on a beautiful bush property!

We are working towards a self sufficient organic lifestyle on a bush property 35 minutes from Hobart. One of us is in the social services, one is a retired meteorologist, and one is a retired organic gardener. We are all very politically engaged and environmentally conscious, and our objective is to create a safe and nourishing space for both humans and native wildlife.

We are particularly looking for two people to stay from 1 to 15 March (or longer on either side, if you wish). During this period, you will have only light duties, but will be asked to stay available to provide help if needed for a disabled friend who lives on the property. For this period, good English is essential.

In general, we would love to have help with gardening, maintenance, painting, cleaning, etc.

In exchange, we can offer a lovely self-contained cottage with a comfortable lounge area, a double bed as well as a fold-out single bed if needed, full cooking facilities, bath and shower, and (very clean) outdoor composting toilet. Because our schedules are complicated, we often will not be able to share evening meals with you, but will be happy to provide you with all ingredients you need for cooking your own meals, including of course everything growing in the garden as well as eggs from our chickens. And from time to time it will be a pleasure to invite you to join us for hearty vegetarian meals!

You will find native wildlife and starry nights, and walkers can get to a spectacular waterfall in the neighboring nature reserve. We speak French and Spanish, and are keen travelers ourselves.
