We are looking for volunteers (1 at a time) from mid-April until the end of September.

We are a small productive organic market garden just 200 yards from the beautiful River Wye, run by two young growers, plus a seasonal trainee. We work full-time in the garden producing a wide range of veg that we sell to local shops, restaurants and online retail customers. We focus mostly on salad and other high-value crops (tomatoes, cucumbers, spinach, peas, spring onions, herbs etc.)

Volunteering here is quite physical but is very varied, and is a great opportunity for someone who is seriously interested in learning about market-garden-scale growing. In return for your help with sowing, weeding, harvesting etc. we will be happy to share with you everything we know about growing veg. We ask volunteers to work 9-3 and will provide all food.

We live next to the market garden. Helpxers can camp in the garden by our house and use our kitchen/facilities. It is a sociable house and we like to eat meals together, go swimming in the river and sometimes sit round a campfire on summer evenings.

Please note: we are based at Ragmans Lane Farm, but are a separate business. Volunteers will work only with us in the market garden and not on the 'main' farm.
