We are a multicultural family (Franco-Indian - Colombian) composed of 3 people, Pradeep, Maria and Daniel. We have called upon ourselves to enrich and protect the privileged natural environment that has been given to us. The farm "Gualivá’s Hope" is a wildlife refuge filled with the flora and fauna that until today has given us fresh air, beautiful views, peace, tranquility and inspiration. Our environment has suffered decades of abuse by the logging of native trees for intensive farming. The damage has caused soil erosion, extinction of many species of orchids, which are characteristic of this region and, the disappearance of native wildlife. For our relationship with this earth and our feeling of love and responsibility towards nature that surrounds us we are committed to help restore this beautiful land to regain at least a small part of its soul and life it deserves.

Location: Farm located between two small towns SASAIMA and LA VEGA, in the department of CUNDINAMARCA (COLOMBIA), about 65 Km form Bogotá (Capital of Colombia).

Property of 7 hectares (17 acres) with 1 large house that can sleep 5 people, beside a river with crystalline water and ravines that surround it, divided into meadows for different activities such as raising horses (5 mares), for taming horses rationally, growing vegetables organically for our own consumption, cultivation of orchids, fruit trees (Tangerine, guava, lemon tangerine), one cow for milk, two ponds with fresh fish, and, chicken for the production of eggs and for consumption.

The main cabin is large and has all the services of electricity, water, propane gas and Internet. We have 5 dogs and 4 cats. We practice the culture of earthworms for the production of humus as well as compost for fertilizer of orchards, the trees and the cultivation of thyme. Recently, we have planted timber trees of paulownia (1500 in all) in1 Ha (2.5 acres) of land.

The climatic conditions are excellent, tropical dry during the summer (December, January, February, July, August) and tropical humid climate the rest of the year (March, April, May, June, September, October and November). The temperature fluctuates between 22 and 26 degrees Celsius (72-79 degrees Fahrenheit) during the day and is cool at night (18-20 degrees Celsius) (65-68 degrees Fahrenheit).

Main crops: Orchids (over 200), Organic vegetable garden (different varieties of lettuce, carrots, broccoli, basil, rosemary, thyme, oregano, marigold, radish, and squash). Fruits tress - tangerine, lemon tangerine, guava and Brazilian rose apple (pomarosa brazilera). We are in the process of planting 53,000 plants of Thyme and 1500 Paulownia trees. The purpose of this is to be able to auto sustain the farm.
