We are a mature age couple in a long term relationship producing an organic garlic crop each year for local markets.
We have a comfortable cabin for sleeping up to 2 adults.
The property consists of large mature and ancient native forest where we control the possum population by trapping and poisoning and harvesting the fur.About 8 to 10 acres of cropping land and there is about 70 acres of regrowth Ti Tree( manuka) and exotic timber which we need assistance with harvesting and milling.
We have returned to live here for our retirement and do not like to work all day every day but there are busy periods throughout the year.
We will provide 3 meals and washing facilities, and internet as well as sleeping space for a 4 hour work day on average over a period of a few days.Depends on the what is happening in the annual cycle.
Our Property is 30 minutes from Kaitaia and 20 minutes from Ahipara beach. It is beautiful peaceful and remote.
We have sky TV and fast wireless internet but no cellphone coverage.
Our property is exceptional and has a lot of native bird life.
We welcome hardworking eccentrics.
Vegetarians catered for but not vegans, sorry.
