We live between Lagos and Vila do Bispo in the western Algarve, very close to the National Park with its world-class beaches.

Our place is ideal for people who would like to get involved in sustainable self-build projects or permaculture gardens, and spend time with us and our lovely dogs. The community here is something special, we're very sociable and there’s often live music or other events taking place.

In recent years we've had some great HelpXers staying with us and are looking to meet others who can help us continue the good work. We're looking for mature, self-motivated people preferably with building or gardening experience – of course other skills are also welcome.

Work arrangements are pretty flexible and by agreement - for example, 4 hours work a day, 5 or 6 days a week with a meal provided on work days has worked well in the past.

You’ll have comfortable accommodation, and access to cooking facilities, a compost toilet, a washing machine and outside shower. Everything is off-grid, with electricity and hot water by solar, and we have wifi.

The closest village is a 10 minute walk and has a couple of shops and cafe bar. From there you can catch a bus to Lagos with its marina and excellent range of shops, restaurants, bars and cultural activities.

Check our reviews, and if you're interested in coming to stay please email and let's talk :)
