Hi all,

We are looking for Volunteers and Helpers. In return, we will cover your food costs, provide comfortable accommodation and a wealth of experience in an idyllic setting.

If you are looking for a Great Australian Experience, then look no further. Our unique Camel Farm and Dairy is located right at the edge of the beautiful Scenic Rim Region with its six National Parks, World Heritage listed rainforest and three dams.

What do we do?

Here at Summer Land Camels, we run Australia`s largest commercial scale camel dairy where we:

- Catch and Train Wild Camels
- Milk Camels
- Grow Irrigated Crops
- Create Award Winning Dairy and Meat Products
- Develop Cosmetics
- Run Agri Tourism

What will you do?

Enjoy some great weather, plenty of sunshine and fun while gaining farm experience. Make lots of friends with our non-smoking team of multi¬cultural and international staff and helpers. The daily main duty is cleaning the yards with camels still inside which can be monotonous but rewarding, since you are getting up close with our largest and smallest dromedaries.

Dependent on your skills, experience and time needed in yards, additional work might be pruning, planting, weeding, mowing, whippersnipping, hedging and helping us out with all kinds of cleaning and maintenance jobs.

After you’ve completed your tasks you can relax, read a book in this picturesque setting, explore the 850 acres of our farm or observe our camel trainers and learn how to train camels, lead camel yourself or ride them as part of their training.

Your accommodation will be either a private room with a double bed or a shared room with two single beds in an American style barn. The bathrooms and kitchen will be shared with other volunteers.

What are we looking for?

- Practical, clean, physically fit and friendly singles (one person) or couples (two people)
- Hardworking and keen to experience a unique and innovative agricultural adventure
- Must hold an open driver`s license
- Speak passable/good English
- Have a practical view on the world and be willing to work as part of a team

All couples, please make sure you both want this experience and share the same work ethics!

Work is approximately six hours per day, five days a week and can be flexible to suit requirements as we open every day. Please be informed thatthis role is UNPAID and NOT eligible for a second year Working Holiday Visa extension.

Where are we?

Our Summer Land Camel Farm is only 45 minutes away from Brisbane and 60 minutes from the beautiful Gold Coast. Pick-up from Ipswich Train Station can be arranged.

Contact us!

We are always looking for Volunteers and Helpers. So, if you have what we are looking for and if you wish to learn more about Australian camels during your stay, send us a brief description of your skills along with your resume.

Thank you.
