Vivea and Igor are a couple in their 30s who have been living here in Osich for 8 years with their daughter Angelina (13). They have a long experience of farming and a beatiful garden to show for all their hard work. Here you will find just about every kind of vegetable, many fruit trees, and also pigs and goats. This is the first year that we will be selling some vegetables to Kiev resturants so the garden is bigger than ever. Also we will be here for the first time this summer an experimental, residential camp for children.

Vivea is is a determined student of many things - the garden, plants and animals, healing herbs and flowers, handicrafts, and English. She would appreciate it if you would correct her when she makes a mistake in English. She also would appreciate a few extra hands in the garden- particularly with weeding at the moment. We are need enthusiastic participants for the summer camp where Angelina and other young people from the village will occupy the family house and learn about nature, useful village skills, and English.
Maybe you know some games or have some skill that you could teach?

There are many things to do in your free time here. You can go swimming in the river or in the lake or wander in the fields and forests. Right now the fields are full of wildflowers and we have been collecting them for tea. In the nearby village of Obyrok there is a clubhouse with fun activities open to all and a great group of open minded people from all over Ukraine. We have lots of fun singing, dancing, eating, and making theatre and campfires. Come join us!

Baturyn is a small town 16Km away where you will find some palaces and a fortress from the 18th and 19th century, and a museum. There are buses between there at least 4 times per week, and from there it is very easy to get to Kiev by bus or hitchiking. In nearby Bachmach you can also get trains to Kiev.
