We are a couple whom for over 40 years, has lived on a farm, surrounded by forest and overlooking the Saguenay fjord, where we practice, as much as we can, a philosophy of living within our means, with what we produce in the respect of nature.
We welcome workers, on a volunteer basis, to help with our chores and learn the different aspects of the know-how to operate such an business. Among other activities, here are few that one can expect to learn : upkeep of orchard and vegetable garden, starting seedling, weeding, hay gathering, grass cutting, grafting of different essence of trees. One can expect to learn the lacto-fermentation, canning, pickling, juicing, drying etc. Taking care of the animals like goats, chicken part of our daily routine. Our farm also gives an opportunity to wood lovers to try their hands at woodworking, maintenance of the different constructions on the farm, preparation of firewood etc.
Since we operate a B&B one can expect to lend a hand to the operation such as welcoming client, upkeep of the premises, preparing breakfast etc.
We also share the preparation of meals according to the know-how of each one. Our days are well filled not only with work but also with interesting exchanges and great fun.
You will be sheltered in a wooden chalet overlooking fields and forest. In your spare times you can enjoy our magnificent landscape, hike or walk on our private trails, wander around, try your hands at fishing or just enjoy a nice gathering around the fire.
Our region is filled with beautiful places to visit and admire and to name a few : Monts-Valin National Park, landing ground for geese and other birds arriving for the summer in St-Fulgence, typical village of Ste-Rose-du-Nord, and the north coast for the observation of marine mammals, etc.
