--We have a gap from 15th-16th August for some serious weeding. No experience needed!--

We are a family of three living in a 400 year old cottage on a tiny farmstead at the edge of the beautiful New Forest National Park (in fact the national park starts right at the edge of our garden). Our cottage is on a sheep farm, but we are NOT the farmers. We are close to Salisbury, Bournemouth and Southampton and are approx. 1.5-2 hours away from London. We can also walk to the river Avon for a refreshing swim.

We grow all our own veg for the family in summer and winter and have recently enlarged our veg plot to include perennial vegetables. We also have a small orchard, a soft fruit bed and a herb bed to look after, as well as three ducks and four chickens. Unfortunately, one of us has recently been diagnosed with arthritis, so we're struggling to keep up with the work.

We would love help with: weeding, mowing, harvesting, preserving, cleaning out chicken and duck coups, digging new beds, improving compost bins, wood cutting and stacking, building a bee hive, building a tree house etc. etc.

Volunteers can camp in the garden or stay in the spare room in our cottage and we would hope that you would work for 4-5 hours per day in most weather conditions. (If it really is too wet to work outside there are lots of inside jobs which need doing) .

Please note: We are a vegetarian, no alcohol, no smoking and no TV household.
