Hey lovely Travellers!

Calling all Natural builders and mud plasterers! We are looking for efficient handy people especially with some building experience.

Next jobs on the list are settling in two lovely goats, jibbing and mud plastering the new helpex rooms, painting the bus roof, some plumbing and finishing Mosses tree house.

sounds like you? read on...

Loads of fun jobs and cool goats that arrived yesterday!

We have moved to an awesome 2.6ha property in Motukarara (25 mins out of Christchurch towards Akaroa).

Come and help us set things up. It is nicely established but will need water lines run to two tiny houses, some work on the new helpx accommodation and settling in our glamping bus.
Your accommodation will be in our lovely 4-bed camper and/or a lovely room that you can help us finish! If you are really fast at building then it will be an amazing bunker style room with kitchen, fire and lounge!

Of course, you will also get to enjoy playing pirates, building tree houses, climbing, playing hide and seek, building lego, chasing crickets and playing music with the boys.

We are a well-travelled couple in our mid-40s. We have two super lovely boys Moss 9 and Fenn 4. Who really love the extra fun helpx brings to our life.

A couple of summers ago, we did an epic 6 month house bus tour of New Zealand promoting our veggie planting guide (#crocalua on instagram). This was great and gives us even more knowledge to share with you when you are making your own New Zealand travel plans.

Our garden provides loads of food and we farm our own sheep, chickens and cows.

We eat mostly organic with lots of fermented food, though are not adverse to the odd bag of chips, chocolate, wine and beer. :)

We have been with helpx now for 4 years and love it. Most of our helpx family turn up for a week and leave two months later!
We love the exchange of culture and passion that our helpx folks have bought to our home and the real sense of family that this time brings.

We like it if you want to work about 2 hours per day each and you provide your own food but we can have shared meals to enjoy sometimes. We try not to work too much in the weekends so you will have free time most Saturdays and Sundays to explore, play and/or work on your own projects. This might mean working more hours during the week to make up for no work in the weekends.

We have ebikes, push bikes, sea kayaks and loads of tools available for you to use as well. We have seen 6 vans converted by out helpers with the support of our tools and knowledge...

If this sounds like you then give us a call!

Kristie, Rob, Moss and Fenn
