We are three friends Valencia 5 years ago acquired a farm in the countryside in order to develop an agro-ecological and sustainable project, based on the principles of permaculture. During this time we have devoted ourselves to rehabilitate and make habitable part of the house, build a raft of irrigation, restore the abandoned olive grove, orchard, planting trees, and launch the henhouse.

In the region of the Canal Navarres (Valencia), it is the "La Toledana" consists of an area of 4 hectares of organic olive groves, and other 2 ha of arable land in different mountain terraces. "La Toledana" is located 16km from the nearest town Navarrés and is nestled surrounded entirely of public forest and fields scattered crops: olive, carob and almond trees mainly.

The nearest inhabited house is about 3km, so the feeling of peace is permanent. The property has an old stone house under restoration, and irrigation pond pool that also serves in the long summer months. Organic garden, chicken coop covered over 30 m2 where our chickens spend the night sheltered from their natural predators, while during the day, they roam free around the fields.

This is a very isolated place, without people around, completely surrounded by Mediterranean forest and stunning views over a valley. For lovers of tranquility, adventure and nature. We enjoy not very cold winters and hot long summers.

We seek collaboration at the field work, mainly olive grove, which was in a state of semi-abandonment when we arrived but profusely plowed and subjected to persistent use of herbicides and therefore with serious erosion problems and lack of fertility. At present we are creating a permanent vegetative cover in a climate of relative drought, clearing the shrub layer, favoring the development of grass cover, and grind with the prunings to return them to the top soil as mulch to help it to retain moisture and stop erosion.

Main tasks: pruning, weeding, and organic fertilizing of the olive orchad. It would also be necessary to help in other project permaculture activities and self-reliance (gardening, masonry house in rehabilitation, planting fruit and shade trees, irrigation, care of the chickens ...)

We seek also:: Meeting new people and share experiences, exchange of ideas and knowledge on agroecology, permaculture, self-reliance, alternative energy etc. We are open to new ideas and proposals.
The farm offers many possibilities.

Accommodation: Part of the house is already finished (kitchen, living room, wc and a large bedroom), we have electricity by solar panels and running water (from a small aquifer within the farm). The house has two floors, with several bedrooms on the upper floor and a bathroom, heating (wood stoves), fireplace, kitchen gas, refrigerator, barbecue and wood oven. By the time we access the Internet via mobile phone, Very close to the house is the garden and the henhouse. We also have irrigation pond, which in summer use as a pool.

On the farm will stay at least one of the three of us, which will guide and work with woofers in their daily tasks, He will arrange meals and solve their needs.

Volunteers are expected to work 5 efective hours per day/ 5 days per week. Normally you can choose the timetable depending on your preferences, it depend of the kind of job planed for that day. Sometimes you will work with any of us or with another volunteers, and sometimes on your own. Work here is an important think for us, sorry but we can not afford paying anyone´s hollydays :)

We can pick up wwofers in nearby destinations, and even pick in Valencia capital. To realize collection, talk to the host. Nearest town: Navarres (the town can be reached by bus from Valencia).
Closest City: Xativa (with train) station Capital: Valencia Leisure: At leisure wwoofer can relax and unwind in the house Or explore the farm and whereabouts.
The farm is located in a natural forest setting, with a variety of leisure and adventure activities available: hiking, camping, mountain biking, mycology, climbing, canyoning etc.

Nearby attractions: - Puddles of Quesa. - Rio Fraile - Anna -Lago Bolbaite River - Caves and shelters with cave paintings In addition, if wwoofers wish, the host also may try to organize interesting excursions, to both, nearby towns (enguera, anna, Chella, Bolbaite, navarres, quesa, Bicorp) and to other farms of similar nature. In extended-stay accommodation could arrange visits with a couple of days to the city of Valencia. We speak spanish and english. We are omnivorous, but we adapt to any type of vegetarian diet.
