We are looking for helpers to stay for two weeks in September. The first few days will be helping us out with typical helpx stuff - mostly gardening and landscaping outside. The rest of the time will be house sitting for us while we are overseas. Dates are 15 - 29 September with some flexibility.

We are Lisa, 31 - an environmental policy analyst and Graham, 39 - an author, and our two spoilt kitties. We have half a hectare of pines, bush and gardens and a beautiful 1890s cottage overlooking the ocean.

Work will be mostly be gardening/landscaping. Would suit a couple or friends who don't mind sharing a bed. Sorry no single travelers. People of any age and nationality are welcome. You need to have an OK level of fitness as work can be physical. No special skills required - but if you have some building experience then that is a major bonus!

In exchange you will get accommodation in a comfortable room in our cottage and all meals while we are here. Your room has lovely bush views, a couch, queen bed and your own bathroom. Unlimited internet. The cottage has the most amazing views - the photos of the sunrise and cruise ship were taken from our lounge :)

We are a 15 minute drive from Dunedin. The bus stop and the small town of Port Chalmers is a 10 minute walk, where there are cafes, shops and a small supermarket. There are some really great beaches and walks only a 10 minute drive away where you can see the wildlife including seals, sealions and penguins.

We love to meet new people and are happy to show you some of the local sights in our piece of paradise.
