We are looking for people to help us out at our rural hostel in 2017.

We are urgently looking for help over Easter weekend / holidays. (12-22 April) Free accommodation and 3 meals will be included over this period.

We have placements available from 1-4 weeks from April to September

*** Please send us a message for an application!***

This quiet spot is close to some fabulous walking and cycling holiday routes and spectacular views. Set in the South Downs National Park, just inland from coastal towns of Shoreham, Brighton, Hove and Worthing, the hostel provides modern accommodation, catering for all types of guests, including families, backpackers, hikers and school groups.

We are located just 10 miles from Brighton, and it's only an hours train ride to London.

The normal working day is an average of 6 hours per day, 5 days a week with 2 set days off(flexibility is required.)The role includes housekeeping and kitchen duties in exchange you receive free accommodation. Meals can be purchased from the hostel at a rate of 2 per meal. You will have shared access to kitchen and wash facilities.

YHA has now been awarded accredited status and is now an Investing in Volunteers organisation. Investing in Volunteers supports the commitment of YHA to offer a safe, enjoyable and supportive environment for all of its people- both staff and volunteers.

Please note there is no public transport to the site, and it is about a 1 hour walk into town; or a 30 minute walk to the bus stop. We can arrange to meet you at the Train station on arrival. Truleigh Hill is a great site if you enjoy great views and walking the outdoors, as there are many public footpaths in the area and the South Downs Way passes through the hostel grounds. We can also arrange the use of a bicycle to help with getting around on days off.
